Rookwood Pottery Brown Ceramic Owl Pin Tray Shape #1084 - 1946 Vintage. This beautiful 1946 Rookwood Pottery Owl Pin Tray is in very good condition. As one would expect, this item does show all over crazing and there appears to be thin scratch marks on the surface of the tray (almost as if it was used as an actual pin tray and the pins caused the scratches). This tray measure 4" tall x 6 3/4" long x 5 ¾ wide.
It weighs 1.6 lbs. It is impressed with the Rookwood Pottery Factory Mark, Date of Production in Roman Numerals (XLVI), and Shape Number (1084) on the bottom. There is a symbol and the number "90" on the bottom of the tray that looks to be the designer or decorator's mark. I try to capture the true colors and nuances of each item offered to you.
